Common Boiler Installation Questions

Combi boilers for most properties are generally supplied in capacities from 24kW to 42kW.

For small houses or flats from 1-3 bedrooms, 24-34kW will be sufficient to keep your property warm, assuming you have less than 15 radiators and 1-2 bathrooms.

For bigger properties with 2-3 bathrooms and 4 or more bedrooms, 34-42kw will usually provide enough capacity for your family.

If you have a larger property than this, you may be better off with a ‘system boiler’, which includes a cylinder for more on-demand capacity.

The length of your boiler’s guarantee will depend on the make and model of boiler.

Manufacturers like Worcester Bosch offer up to 12 years on their boilers, when installed by an accredited installer. We can give full details of this when recommending your boiler.

Note: many boiler suppliers require a yearly service to ensure the warranty remains valid.

Your boiler will generally be installed with a standard digital thermostat, which we will demonstrate to you after fitting.
